Sofía Mendoza’s photography is an exploration of movement, irony, and color. Her images balance boldness and delicacy, capturing dynamic moments with an acute attention to detail. Often described as expressive and provocative, her work plays with contrasts—between intensity and softness, humor and depth—turning overlooked details into striking visual narratives.

Color is at the core of her creative process. "I don’t just document reality; I construct my own version of it." By pushing the boundaries of perception, she transforms everyday scenes into immersive experiences that feel both familiar and surreal.

As a designer, photography has become an essential medium, allowing her to develop projects with strong visual discourse and explore aesthetics beyond traditional documentation. Each image invites the viewer into an alternate world where color dictates emotion, movement, and meaning.

Photography has been a complement in my devolpment as a designer. It has allowed me to create images and personal projects with discurse or simply illustrations with aesthetic value.
